
A candidate offered admission is required to take up the offer in the particular year it is made and the University shall not normally entertain requests for deferment of admission.
A candidate who desires to commence study in a year other than that, in which an offer of admission has been made by the Board, shall be required to apply afresh for admission and comply with the normal admission procedures
In very exceptional circumstances, however, the University may entertain requests for deferment of admissions. The University shall consider each case in its own merit but shall not normally entertain cases which do not meet the minimum conditions specified in admissions requirements;
An application for deferment of admission under the must ensure that his application:
1. Reach the Registrar at least one week before the Matriculation Ceremony for the particular year the offer of admission was made;
2. Be accompanied by evidence of formal acceptance of provisional offer of admission;
3. Show documentary evidence that the circumstances which have warranted the application for deferment did not exist at the time the candidate was applying for admission;
4. Not to be for a period exceeding one academic session.
